GAZA, (PIC)– Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya has said today that his government will launch within 48 hours a project to build all the homes that were destroyed during Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip, affirming there are sufficient reconstruction funds.
During his speech in the international conference for Gaza reconstruction on Sunday morning, Haneyya added that the project will stimulate economic growth in Gaza after it opens the way before hundreds of workmen, engineers and architects to start work immediately.
“On the second anniversary of the war on Gaza, we emphasize that the funds earmarked for that are available, and we will start reconstruction in all destroyed blocks and areas so as to stress the importance of supporting the Palestinian people’s steadfastness,” the premier said.
He pointed out that his government will fully support this project in cooperation with institutions, labor unions and individuals.
“This is good news for every demolished home, and we thank all the countries that provided these funds for the Palestinian people to support their steadfastness and restrain the greed of their conspirators. We have a strategic depth and this depth will not forsake the Palestinian people and their cause,” the premier highlighted.
Premier Haneyya also noted that his government did not receive a nickel from the financial aid pledged for Gaza reconstruction in Sharm Asheikh conference and the Arab summit that were convened for this purpose.
