GAZA, (PIC)– Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya said that Egypt expressed its willingness to invite once again all Palestinian factions to Cairo to resume the inter-Palestinian reconciliation talks.
During his meeting on Saturday evening with a Kuwaiti delegation in Gaza, premier Haneyya noted that this Egyptian initiative was conveyed over the phone by intelligence director Omar Suleiman a few days ago.
The premier expressed his belief that this initiative reflects Egypt’s keenness on the national reconciliation in the Palestinian arena, stressing that Hamas would positively consider any invitations made by Egypt.
He pointed out to the many challenges the Palestinians are facing in the occupied territories of Jerusalem and the West Bank as well as in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The premier also talked about the Israeli war threats against Gaza, saying that these threats are real and Hamas deals with them seriously and responsibly.
