OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Wa’ed society for detainees and ex-detainees said the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped during its war on the Gaza Strip about 200 prisoners, 15 of them were classified as unlawful combatants.
Wa’ed added that only nine of the 15 detainees were released, and the others were either sentenced to prison or are pending trails.
A father of two of these detainees called Misbah Abdelrabo explained how his sons, Ramai and Raji were kidnapped from their home without reason during the war, noting that he knows nothing about their health or imprisonment conditions and is not allowed to visit them.
The father appealed to all international human rights, especially the Red Cross to diligently work on helping Gazan families to visit their sons and send them messages.
In another context, former Israeli war minister Amir Peretz said that the Israel army’s deterrence strategy in the Gaza strip is beginning to weaken and it needs to step up its reactions and attacks on Hamas, the Hebrew radio said on Sunday.
He called on the Israeli government not to allow Hamas Movement to keep strengthening its defense capability and held Hamas responsible for firing rockets at Israeli targets.
